I'm Adam White. I'm a web development consultant based in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

I'm the managing editor of Punknews.org, where I write, podcast and promote independent music. At JMR Logics I develop custom web applications using Drupal, PHP, and Java. I also consult with small businesses on content creation, social media and online engagement. In my spare time I explore the Niagara region with my video blog Check In Niagara.

As a speaker I've given well-received talks on social media and the Internet for cities, businesses and service organizations in the Niagara Region. I'm one of the founding members of the Niagara Social Media Club.

I think way too many people don’t think a person, or a personal brand or even a consumer brand can scale but I think effort is massively under rated, what do you guys think?

At Punknews we’ve found ourselves coming around to this question again and again in the last few weeks. We’re actually setting out to remove automation from some of our social media presences and get more of a human presence on them (which is how it should have been from the first place, but we’re learning). It  definitely takes more time to do so, and we’ve devoted a person to it as their primary role, but the positive interaction we have with real people is worth it.
